Title: Revisiting Models of Neurodegenerative Diseases for the Era of Precision Medicine

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. To review the pitfalls in the clinico-pathologic model of neurodegenerative diseases.
  2. To compare the current phenotype-anchored biomarker development model with biomarker-driven molecular disease subtyping for future application of precision medicine in PD.
  3. To consider a conceptual shift in research efforts from clinico-pathologic convergence to systems biology divergence.
